Why me ?

Arthur Ashe was black American tennis player who won three Grand Slam titles; U.S. Open (1968), Australian Open (1970) and Wimbledon (1975). In 1979 he suffered a heart attack and he had to undergo bypass surgery, but he did not recover he just had to accept the bitter truth, because he was infected with HIV through a blood transfusion he received.

A fan wrote to him, "Why God chose you to suffer from the disease?"
Ashe replied, "In this world there are 50 million children who want to play tennis, of which 5 million people who can learn to play tennis,

500 thousand people learning to be a professional tennis player,

50 thousand came to the arena to compete,

5000 reach the Grand Slam tournament,

50 people made it to Wimbledon,

four people in the semifinals, two finals.

And when I lifted the Wimbledon trophy, I never asked God, "Why me?", So when I get sick now, I'm not supposed to ask God, "Why me?

Consciously or not, we can only accept the things good in life, success, health careers, smooth. When we receive the contrary, illness, difficulties, failures, we assume God is not fair. So we feel entitled to sue God.

But not so with Ashe. He is different from most people. This is a reflection of the life of faith, remained steadfast in hope, despite heavy pressure.
When receiving something bad, remember the time when we receive good at.

"Winning horse doesn't know why it runs the race.
It runs because of beats & pain.
Life is a race, God is your rider.
So if you are in a pain, then think, God want You to win"
